Stage Management Workshop
On Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 AM at TheatreFor, we're hosting an introductory Stage Management class focused on small-scale theatres.
Whether you're a performer curious about what happens backstage, a crew member ready to level up, or someone who's never set foot in a theatre before, this class is your starting point.
What you'll learn:
- What a stage manager actually does — the bridge between director, cast, and crew
- Pre-production essentials: auditions, prep week, and paperwork
- Building your Show Bible and prompt book
- Running rehearsals, tracking blocking, and writing rehearsal reports
- Calling tech rehearsals and handling mid-show surprises
- Show night: cast check-ins, pre-sets, and the countdown to places
No experience necessary — just curiosity and a love of theatre. And for those who catch the stage management bug, an advanced class is in the works covering show bibles, large- vs. small-scale theatre differences, and certification.
Spots are limited, so reach out to any TheatreFor board member to reserve yours today.
